Our Rules

General

  • To ensure our students fully benefit from the program implemented at our school, parents are expected to adhere to school hours. Students must be at school no later than 8:15 AM.
  • For the safety of our students, parents are expected not to enter the areas where classrooms are located but instead hand over their children at the school entrance and pick them up from the same location. If someone other than the parent is to pick up the child, the class teacher or school administration must be informed. Otherwise, the student will not be handed over to the individual.
  • If students need to be picked up early due to a special circumstance, parents are expected to inform the class teacher.
  • Parents are expected to park their cars in the areas indicated by the security.

Dress Code

  • It is expected that the name of the student is written on every personal item sent to school. The school will not be responsible for lost unnamed items.
  • Students are expected to have spare clothes in their bags when coming to school.
  • It is requested that students do not wear high-value accessories to school.

Health

  • If the student has a fever or a contagious illness, they cannot attend school. After the illness, a doctor’s report stating that the student is fit to attend school must be submitted to the administration.
  • During school hours, if a student’s temperature rises, the school nurse will check them, and the
family will be informed. In such cases, the student must be picked up from school.
  • If a student needs to take medication during school hours, the medication information must be submitted to the class teacher along with a doctor’s report. The control of the submitted document and medication usage will be overseen by the school nurse.
  • In the event of an accident at school, the first intervention is carried out by the school nurse, and the family is informed. If necessary, and with the parent’s permission, the student will be referred to YDU/Dr. Suat Günsel Hospital.

Birthday Parties

  • Parents who wish to celebrate their child’s birthday with classmates can do so at our school. To
avoid disrupting the class routine, parents are not included in the celebration.
  • Giving or receiving gifts during birthdays is not allowed.
  • For the celebration, parents are expected to send a birthday cake, a type of beverage, and disposable tableware such as plates, forks, and napkins.
  • To plan the appropriate celebration day and treats, parents are expected to communicate with the class teachers.

Transportation

  • Students whose transportation registration is incomplete cannot benefit from this service.
  • If a registered student will not be using the transportation service on a particular day, the school must be informed.
  • Students must remain seated while on the bus.
  • Loud talking should be avoided on the bus, and the rights of other passengers should be respected.
  • Sensitivity should be shown when communicating with the driver and bus attendants.
