Psychological Counseling and Guidance

In Preschool, it is the responsibility of the Psychological Counseling and Guidance unit to know students in detail in terms of cognitive, social, emotional and motor skills. Our Guidance Teacher and Special Education Specialist follow the development of students one-on-one and contribute to the discovery of individual talents and skills. With the support of classroom teachers, students’ progress in five different developmental areas (linguistic, cognitive, self-care, motor, social-emotional development) is monitored. The data obtained as a result of detailed observation and follow-up is shared with parents through individual parent meetings. The necessary support is given to our students in line with the decisions taken as a result of the meeting and family cooperation.

Our Counselors also work with students who are new to school and with whom they will work throughout the preschool period, in social skills lessons that are a part of the school program. By applying values education within the scope of a social skills course, it is aimed to help students gain basic human values, develop sensitivity towards these values and transform them into behavior. In addition to providing students with social values, this program also aims to provide students with important skills such as creative thinking, establishing cause and effect relationships, and problem solving.

Our schools adopt an approach that takes into account the individual differences of all our students. Every child learns, sometimes at different times and sometimes with different methods; Our goal is to reveal the potential of our students in the best way possible. While support is given; Care is taken to ensure that it is appropriate for the students’ learning speed, perception level and learning characteristics.
