The “Fine Arts Republic Exhibition”, held by Near East University Faculty of Fine Arts faculty members and 28 award-winning artists from the Turkic World, will open at the Halil Günsel Culture and Congress Center at the Near East Yeniboğaziçi Campus. The opening of the “Fine Arts Republic Exhibition” consisting of paintings, ceramics and print paintings will be realized by Yeniboğaziçi Mayor Mustafa Zurnacılar on Friday, November 6 at 11.00.

Named after Near East University Founding Rector Suat İrfan Günsel’s grandfather, Halil Günsel, the Culture and Congress Centre consists of an amphitheater for 450 people as well as many meeting rooms and multi-purpose exhibition halls. The “Fine Arts rRepublic Exhibition” will be the first exhibition to be held at Halil Günsel Culture and Congress Center.

Near East University Faculty of Fine Arts and Design Dean Prof. Dr. Erdal Aygenç stating that in the art journey that started two years ago, they are delighted to bring together the scientists, artists, their relatives and other art audiences at the Halil Günsel Culture and Congress Center Exhibition Hall. Prof. Aygenç pointed out; “While the Near East University contributes to the spread of art with the exhibitions it has opened in different regions of the country, it is also laying the building blocks of creating an art island.

“Near East University carries a pioneering, progressive and innovative identity in the fields of culture and arts as well as carrying out major projects in science, technology, sports and health,” saying Prof. Dr. Aygenç reminded that the “Walled City Museum” will also be opened on the 15th of November Republic Day.

Museum entries free until the end of November …
Prof. Dr. Erdal Aygenç reminded that the entrance to the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts, Cyprus Car Museum, Günsel Art Museum, Herbarium and Natural History Museum is free until the end of November, Republic Day. Prof. Dr. Erdal Aygenç stated that the “Fine Arts Republic Exhibition” to be opened at Near East College Yeniboğaziçi Campus Halil Günsel Culture and Congress Center will also be open to the public.
